The Itasca County Environmental Services office is responsible for a wide degree of programming within the county including: planning and zoning, zoning permitting, subsurface sewage treatment program, shoreland alterations, solid waste and recycling programming, and staff acts as the liaisons to the Aquatic Invasive Species Program. Our staff is dedicated to serving our citizens and protecting our pristine environment and resources within the county.
In your site plan, please include the following information:
• Your name, property address and phone number
• Your parcel number
• North facing arrow
• Property lines
• The location of the new structure
• The dimensions of the new structure
• Arrows that indicate how far the structure will be from Ordinary High Water Level (OHWL)
• Arrows that indicate how far the structure will be from property lines
• Arrows that indicate the setback from the road.
For MPCA permitting reasons the City of Grand Rapids is discontinuing the recycling program that has, for years, operated in the Super 1 South parking lot on Saturday mornings. Recycling is accepted at the Itasca County Transfer Station, Monday-Saturday, 8:30am-5:00pm, at no charge.
