​​The Itasca County Transfer Station is located at 29959 East Bass Lake Road, Grand Rapids, MN 55744.  Transfer Station hours are Monday-Saturday, 8:30am-5:00pm (demolition closes at 4:30pm). It is closed on holidays.​

​Waste Management operates the day-to-day activities at the transfer station and demolition landfill.  To drop off household garbage or demolition materials, coupons are required.   The fees and coupon vendor locations are located here.​​

​The County also has a Household Hazardous Waste Facility (HHW) located at the transfer station.  Certified staff are based out of the courthouse and appointments are necessary to insure an organized and manageable collection.  To make an appointment contact Environmental Services at (218) 327-2857.
